More information This property sits high on a hill overlooking the Gunyulgup Valley, a stunning area in the popular region of Yallingup. It is a perfect location to use as a base to explore the world renown Margaret River wine region, the pristine South West beaches, the award winning restaurants, and the unspoilt countryside! Only 5 minutes drive from Yallingup Beach, Smiths Beach, and close to Meelup Beach, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay. If there are children in your group the Yallingup Maze is a must, Simmo's Icecreamery is near by, and many more activities such as archery, horse riding, golf, snorkelling, diving, rock climbing, cycling and walking. The stunning Cape to Cape walking track is 135kms of coastal walk trails which can be done in sections or in one go (allow at least 5 days for the whole walk).
The region is also home to incredible caves, with Ngilgi Cave being only a 5 minute drive from the property.
Mammoth Cave, Rainbow Cave and Jewel Cave are also an easy drive and offer a really incredible underground experience.
Wineries such as Leeuwin Estate, Vasse Felix, Cape Mentelle, Wils Domain, and Aravina are all in easy drive, as well as many smaller boutique wineries. The region also has a large number of fabulous Breweries, which are perfect on a hot day, for sitting back and relaxing over a cold pint of award winning craft beer. Eagle Bay Brewery is close to Dunsborough and has spectacular views over the ocean, great food, and plenty of space for the kids to run around and kick a footy. The Bootleg Brewery, Cheeky Monkey Brewery, Black Brewing Company, and The Beer Farm are also not far and offer a unique experience.
Whale watching is also a must do while in the region, the best time being between September and early December. These incredible creatures can be viewed with the naked eye from the coast, or you can take a tour from one of the many local operators and get up close and personal with the oceans largest mammals.
The region is also home to some very talented artists, and is a creative hub with many pottery studios, galleries and exhibitions open to the public during the year. One not to be missed is the Margaret River Open Studios which is an annual event, where local artists welcome you into their homes or studios to view their work, chat and answer any questions you may have.
The town of Dunsborough is only 10 minutes away, providing all the amenities you need, including supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, pharmacies, boutiques and gift shops.
